Brainspotting is a powerful technique that helps us access parts of the brain that store unprocessed emotional experiences, including trauma. When something overwhelming happens, our brain doesn’t always get the chance to fully process it. Brainspotting allows us to gently go back to those places and release what's stuck - without needing to relive or even verbalize the experience.
We do this by identifying a ‘brainspot’ - a specific point in your visual field that’s connected to the emotional charge. I’ll guide you to find that spot by watching your eye movements or noticing subtle cues from your body. Once we’ve found it, I’ll invite you to simply notice what comes up while you maintain your gaze on that point.
